“When I looked into it, I quickly realised this was exactly what we need to continue growing.”
Cobrief plays a key role in the growth strategy of the Nordic consulting company. With Cobrief in their toolkit, Martine Løkka and Isaac Gray at Witted can participate in more tenders – while freeing up time for what truly matters.
Towards the end of 2024, Martine Løkka, Head of Consulting at Witted Norway, was tipped off by an industry colleague about a tool that reduces the time it takes to respond to tenders.
– When I looked into it, I quickly realised this was exactly what we need to continue growing, says Løkka.
Witted is accustomed to competing and winning tenders in the private market. They intend to continue doing so, but on top of that they have a goal of delivering more to the public sector.
For a company with ambitions to expand into the public sector – but with a lean organisation and limited resources – Cobrief became a key factor. They needed a tool that allowed them to work with the public sector in a fast, simple, and efficient way.
– The public sector is a new and exciting arena for us. At the same time, it can be time-consuming work. With Cobrief behind us, we have what it takes to scale smartly and quickly, says Isaac Gray, Commercial Director in Norway and one of the company's founders.
Previously, it could take an entire working day to review a tender. With Cobrief, Martine Løkka and Isaac Gray can evaluate a tender in just minutes. Here at Witted's offices in Oslo.
"Next generation consulting firm"
Witted was founded in 2016 in Finland and is today a publicly listed IT consulting firm with offices across the Nordics. The company delivers a broad range of IT services through both its own employees and a large network of independent consultants and partners.
Witted emphasises that they are not merely a consultant broker. They follow every project closely from start to finish. They are part of the delivery – building teams, following up, and ensuring quality throughout.
The model has proven robust – even through a tough 2023, marked by major tech layoffs and market shifts.
– We have navigated a challenging landscape and succeeded with a model that is both flexible and quality-assured. Now we have an enormous network of specialists: UX designers, full-stack developers, data engineers, cloud architects, and cybersecurity experts, to name a few, says Isaac Gray.
Witted describes itself as a kind of "next generation consulting firm", with the ambition of being an alternative to both traditional IT giants and platforms like Upwork and Fiverr.
– Tenders we otherwise wouldn't have responded to
Since adopting Cobrief, Witted has responded to more public tenders than before. Processes that previously could take an entire day are now completed in minutes.
The company is already using Cobrief on a number of tenders worth several hundred million NOK.
Martine Løkka explains that delivering large tenders requires the involvement of many resources, both internal and external. When time is short, it's a huge advantage to have a tool that supports the entire tendering process and makes it easier to evaluate and write the bid.
– We haven't always had the capacity to evaluate and respond to all relevant tenders. Cobrief makes it possible to submit bids on tenders we previously had to pass on, simply because it would have been too time-consuming without such a tool, says Løkka.
Even experienced players know that extensive tender documentation often conceals critical conditions – sometimes misplaced by the buyer. This can make it challenging to quickly evaluate and respond to the tender.
With Cobrief, Witted gets an overview in minutes. The tool catches hidden requirements, consolidates everything in one place, and makes it easier to prioritise correctly. The result: more precise evaluations, more submitted bids, and higher hit rates.

Freeing up time for what counts
The company has also begun a larger investment in its toolbox – and is particularly exploring the possibilities offered by AI.
They use a range of AI tools every single day. They find Cobrief's AI feature works very well. The time they save by avoiding repetitive tasks can be spent on far more value-creating work for a growing company.
– AI isn't about replacing people, but about freeing up time from repetitive tasks so that people can focus on the core work humans do best – engaging with clients and delivering the actual work, says Gray.
Tellef Tveit, Commercial Director at Cobrief, has followed Witted's journey with Cobrief from the very beginning. He explains that Cobrief's goal is to reduce the time spent on each individual tender.
– That's why we're delighted that Witted – like many of our other customers – experience a clear competitive advantage from using Cobrief, he says.
Tveit particularly highlights that Witted is adept at being early adopters of new technology, including Cobrief, and especially artificial intelligence.
– They are forward-leaning and quick to adopt our AI features. Getting relevant alerts and identifying new business opportunities is a given. What's really exciting is how they use AI to evaluate and write bids – that gives them a real competitive edge.
