Both Samuelsen and Jørgen Osnes have followed the development of Cobrief closely. They regularly provide feedback and see improvements happening all the time. Samuelsen admits that it required patience to be one of the first users. He didn't hold back if something wasn't working. He actively contributed suggestions for improvements.

Can be used for more than just tenders

The Hafslund duo has been using Cobrief for a long time – but for different purposes. While Samuelsen and the team at Hafslund Mobil Energi work with insights and market monitoring, Osnes and Hafslund Vekst work on finding relevant tenders, the actual preparation, and submission of tenders.

For Samuelsen, having access to Cobrief isn't about winning tenders. He searches for players who have already won them.

Hafslund Mobil Energi delivers mobile energy solutions, charging solutions, and temporary energy infrastructure for large construction sites. It is therefore essential to know who is about to start new projects. They could be potential customers.

– Who has won what – and where? And who is actually behind the major infrastructure projects in the country? That's the insight we're looking for and find in Cobrief, he says.

Tailored solutions on demand

Samuelsen saw early on that the existing solutions for finding tender winners in the market weren't good enough. They were expensive, cumbersome – and often limited to individual regions.

After being in dialogue with several providers, he contacted Cobrief. He presented his needs in detail. Hafslund Mobil Energi explained the need for a tool that could provide ongoing insights into tenders – both who won, where, and why.

Cobrief took on the challenge and developed what is today called Market Insights – a feature that was initially built for Hafslund, but is now among the most widely used across the entire platform. It gives users real-time insights into awards, players, and partnership opportunities.
